Hey everyone, here we go. . . . . .
IN OUR WORLD
I’m back from my 4th trip to Orlando in the last 6 weeks. I have become addicted to the orange/cranberry scones at the little bakery near the American Airlines gate.
This week I also had the honor of presenting our latest strategic platform; FRAMING, seeing the ever bigger picture, to a wonderful group over a spectacular lunch! The result was adding 60 + new people to my mailing list and developing a number of new business opportunities.
I have so many projects both on the table and in the pipeline that it makes my head spin. I am so graced!
Next week I am off to Minneapolis to present new sales strategies based on the Repeatable Successful Acts platform.
I just finished three new podcasts around the RSA work and will have them posted, one at a time, in next three upcoming newsletters.
Happy Fathers day to all you dad’s out there!

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW
I let you know that I have just completed three new podcasts around the Repeatable Successful Acts platform and thought I would give you a quick few points on why you should be doing a few podcasts:
- Open Doors: A podcast is a conversational tool, a way to deliver information and news in a natural manner. Podcasts are about talking. They allow you to turn the message into an interview, providing a platform to exchange ideas.
- Expand the Knowledge Base of Your Team and Your Clients: Think about a new delivery tool that expands the knowledge base of both your team and your clients. A podcast is a tool for spreading information.
- Get Noticed: Using podcasts will get you noticed. By adding just a small amount of post production touches, as simple as music, will make a big impact.
- People Listen: Podcasts, when kept short (5-10 minutes) are engaging and people listen.
Now for the next best part – THEY ARE CHEAP. There are so many ways to record and post podcasts I could do an entire newsletter as a “how to.”
Do a little homework and you will find the right fit.
ENTERTAINMENT
MOVIES: The Karate Kid: This was a FANTASTIC remake and worthy of your movie viewing time.
NetFlix Fans: Pirate Radio: This little movie got by me, BUT I can not recommend this wonderful film enough. One of the best movies I have seen in a long time!!!
TV: Let me make just two statements – The US Open at Pebble Beach and the start of Wimbledon. Thank you, oh thank you DVR!!!
BOOKS: The Power of Social Networking – By Hunt. The idea is to create demand, not just buzz. Define your social community broadly, to ensure you snag the beginner, intermediate and expert. Respond to all feedback. It creates your reputation. Make small, impactful and continuous improvements. Make sure our strategy gets you feedback.
MUSIC: As you all know I am a huge music fan and I love when my readers turn me on to a band I’m not familiar with. Such was my introduction to Elizabeth and the Catapult. Here is a great tune!

SOUTH OF NORMAL
With consumers exhibiting an ever-increasing lust for instant gratification, it was only a matter of time before nowism was applied to online dating. Enter New York-based start-up Urban Signals [www.urbansignals.net], a location-based mobile application that enables immediate in-person connections between singles.
Launched in January, the Urban Signals app works by broadcasting the location of users based on GPS signals, which enables members to locate nearby singles and meet up instantaneously if they desire. Similar to online dating, each user creates a profile and sets their ideal partner preferences. Whenever their radar is switched on, they are shown the location, mood and status of fellow members of interest within their specified radius. “Signals” are exchanged between users to make contact. The app is free to download from Apple’s iTunes store. New users are given a one month trial, after which the ‘Unlimited Signals’ pack can be purchased for USD 4.99 per month.
With Urban Signals taking care of spontaneous love/lust connections, where else might consumers be interested in a similar service for real-time people connecting of another kind? Perhaps parents seeking company for impromptu play dates, tennis players seeking partners for spur-of-the-moment matches… The possibilities are endless.
